About Jim Johnson
Highly trained, Jim graduated from Beauty College in 1972. After graduation, the same college hired him in back to teach hair cutting classes.
He later went to the Vidal Sassoon Hair Academy in San Francisco and returned to manage an upbeat hair salon in San Diego. After two years of management he opened his own salon, "The Back Door", selling it after 12 years of successful operation. He has written a book called "How to Make $50,000 A Year As A Hairdresser", which was published by Mi' Lady publishing company.
In recent years Jim moved to the Valley and worked at Primo's Beauty Salon for four years. Finding the large salon not his forte, Jim moved to Pure Salon & Day Spa where he now specializes in corrective hair coloring. The salon is located next to Food for Less off Friars Road in the Mission Valley neighborhood of San Diego. |
